Jagannathan has participated in many percussion competitions and performed in quite a number of programmes. He has won several prizes and good comments from the judges and organisers. His calibre was judged by veteran Vidwans like Trichur Sri. Narendran, Sri R. Ramesh, Melakaveri Sri. Balaji and Smt. Sukanya Ramgopal to name a few.

Based on his achievements in Mridangam, he was selected by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghatan – New Delhi to participate in the programme on the birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar on April 14 2023 at the Central Hall of Parliament. He was also privileged to deliver a speech there on that occasion.
